Real Estate Paralegal

We’re partnered with an award-winning, Legal 500 ranked law firm who are looking for a Real Estate Paralegal to join their Real Estate & Projects team based in Leeds. The successful candidate will assist Solicitors with their work as well as build their own caseload. This role is a great opportunity to progress a career in property law and gain exposure to a broad range of commercial and residential property matters within a busy and collaborative team.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist solicitors and other fee earners in the day-to-day running of files
• Draft transaction document summaries and reports, including Land Agreements, Development Agreements, transfers, and sectional agreements
• Review and report on due diligence searches as part of reports on title
• Produce and input reports on title for development site acquisitions
• Assist with land transfers, covering both pre- and post-completion formalities, including preparing statements, submitting priority searches, and liaising with clients
• Undertake Land Registry applications and respond to requisitions
• Draft and prepare ancillary documentation such as Deeds of Covenant, Land Registry certificates, and Transfers
• Follow department procedures, Solicitors Accounts Rules, and firm policies
• Contribute to business development initiatives and assist with training and development as required

What we need from you:

• 2+ years’ experience in conveyancing, preferably with exposure to commercial or development property work
• Excellent organisation, time management, and administration skills
• Confident communication skills with the ability to explain legal matters in plain English
• Able to work independently, under pressure, and to tight deadlines
• Supportive team player, proactive, self-motivated, and approachable
