Tradewind Recruitment is working with secondary schools in Bristol seeking Exam Invigilators to join their team on a flexible, part-time basis for the May/June 2026 exam season. This role is ideal for individuals looking for seasonal or ongoing exam-based work.
Exam Invigilator – Role Overview
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring examinations are conducted in accordance with school and JCQ regulations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing exam rooms in line with exam board requirements
- Checking attendance and verifying candidate identification
- Distributing and collecting exam papers securely
- Ensuring exam conditions are strictly maintained
- Supervising students during examinations
- Assisting students with queries in accordance with exam regulations
- Recording and reporting any incidents or irregularities
- Supporting students with access arrangements where required
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Exam Invigilator or experience working in a school setting (Desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict procedures
- Professional, calm and confident manner
- Excellent punctuality and reliability
- Good communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
