Assistant Management Accountant

Location:Long Eaton (Hybrid Working) | Salary:31,000 – 35,00 DOE

Astute Recruitmentis exclusively recruiting on behalf of our client for a Part-Qualified Assistant Management Accountantto join their finance team in Long Eaton. This is a permanent, hybrid role, offering a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their career and gain exposure to management accounting across a dynamic organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Finance team with month-end and year-end reporting
• Prepare and reconcile journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts, forecasts, and budgets
• Conduct variance analysisand provide commentary on financial movements
• Maintain and improve Excel-based reporting and financial models
• Support internal and external audits as required
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insight and support

About You:

• Part-qualified in CIMA, ACA, or ACCA (PQ)
• Solid experience in month-end and financial reporting duties
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment
