We are working on a search for Senior Business Analysts to join a front office investment technology team on a multi year project.
This role sits in a highly front-office focused environment working directly with portfolio managers, quants, traders and developers to improve the platforms and workflows used across the investment lifecycle.
The team is delivering a number of initiatives aimed at modernising investment platforms and applying AI and advanced analytics to the investment process, including tools supporting research workflows, portfolio construction, investment analytics and trading.
The role is well suited to candidates who have experience working close to the investment process and are comfortable analysing complex workflows and helping shape how technology supports investment decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with portfolio managers, analysts, traders and quant teams to understand how investment ideas move through the research, portfolio construction and trading lifecycle.
- Analyse current investment workflows and identify opportunities to improve portfolio construction, analytics and decision-support tooling.
- Translate investment requirements into clear functional specifications and technology solutions.
- Support the development of business cases for new investment technology initiatives, particularly where improved data, analytics or automation can add value to the investment process.
- Partner closely with engineering and data teams to design and deliver new capabilities across investment platforms.
- Contribute to the design of the future operating model for investment technology, ensuring research, portfolio management, risk and trading systems integrate effectively.
Experience We Are Looking For
- Strong experience working in front office environments.
- Understanding of the end-to-end investment process, including research, portfolio construction, trading and downstream workflows.
- Experience working directly with portfolio managers, quant researchers or traders.
- Background in business analysis, investment technology delivery or product roles within financial markets.
- Experience working with portfolio management systems, order management systems or investment analytics platforms.
- Comfortable analysing complex investment workflows and challenging requirements to design better solutions.
- Strong backgrounds may include buy-side asset managers, hedge funds, front office technology teams or vendors implementing investment platforms.
