Location: Oxford
Job Description:

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to lead, coordinate, and oversee the global implementation of our Corporate Compliance Programme (CCP). Reporting to the Group Compliance Officer (GCO), the post holder will support the continued development of a strong compliance culture across the organisation, ensuring that robust procedures are in place to mitigate risks relating in particular to bribery, corruption, fraud, and the facilitation of tax evasion. This includes maintaining and enhancing the CCP’s key components, such as our Ethical Policies, Group Compliance Manual, and related guidance.

Responsibilities

One major element of the role is managing the Group Compliance Monitoring & Review (M&R) programme. As Senior Compliance Officer, you will plan, conduct, and report on global monitoring visits and thematic reviews, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all Group entities over a three‑year cycle. The role also involves conducting compliance risk assessments across global operations, developing appropriate mitigation strategies, and reviewing high‑risk business activities to ensure proper due diligence and risk‑based decision making, escalating the most significant issues to the GCO when necessary.

You will develop and deliver global compliance training and awareness initiatives, ensuring new and existing colleagues have the knowledge they need to uphold compliance standards. You will also manage the annual Compliance Exercise, which includes mandatory online training, certifications, and ‘conflict of interest’ declarations. In addition, the role oversees proportionate due diligence processes for business partners. The role also manages investigations under the scope of the CCP, ensuring cases are recorded in the case management system and investigated as appropriate, with matters outside the compliance remit referred to the appropriate internal teams.

Additional Information

Finally, you will work closely with colleagues across Group Legal and Compliance to ensure consistent management of compliance risks across divisions and geographies, together with related line management responsibilities. You will support the GCO with preparing quarterly Audit Committee reports and producing ad hoc updates for senior stakeholders.

This is a 6-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
