The Role: Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a proactive and highly organised Business Support Manager within our Engineering Department. The role is to ensure the smooth and effective operation of all business functions across the curriculum area. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate core business functions across the engineering curriculum area, including planning, student recruitment and forecasting, data and registry management, and HR compliance.
- Embed efficient and compliant business processes across all sections to support decision-making and ensure alignment with KPIs.
- Monitor progress and ensure robust compliance, including mandatory obligations such as Health & Safety, GDPR, and student records.
- Provide high-level administrative leadership, including supporting exam board preparation and contributing to UKVI Tier 4 processes.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, contribute to the leadership of the curriculum area and translate business objectives into effective operational plans.
- Build strong communication channels with internal and external stakeholders—including employers, students, and colleagues—and ensure key actions, deadlines, and business requirements are understood and met.
