OverviewOur Irish Distribution client are looking for a Transport Planner who is also willing to get involved in wider warehouse and operational activities.
This role suits someone who wants variety, responsibility and the opportunity to grow within a fast-growing company.
The working hours are 09:30 – 18:30
Responsibilities :
– Plan and coordinate daily transport routes– Ensure vehicles are routed efficiently and cost-effectively– Communicate clearly with drivers and internal departments– Monitor deliveries and respond quickly to any issues– Support warehouse operations when required– Assist other departments during busy periods– Participate in cross-training across different areas of the business
Skills & Experience Required :
– Previous transport planning experience essential– Strong geographical knowledge– Good organisational and problem-solving skills– Good communication skills– Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks– Willingness to learn new skills– Ability to use your own initiative– Positive attitude and desire to grow and develop– We are looking for someone flexible, proactive and ready to take ownership of their role while supporting the wider team.
