Are you an experienced Injection Moulding Technician?   If you have answered YES then please read on and APPLY NOW!   H&H Recruitment Solutions are working on behalf of our client in the S9 area of Sheffield for an Injection Moulding Technician on a Full Time Permanent basis.   Duties

  • Tool changes on large moulding machines.
  • Safely perform tool changes on various moulding machines.
  • Operation of Injection Moulding machines.
  • Breakdown repairs and reactive maintenance.
  • Perform quality control tasks according to cycle of control to ensure products conform to customer specifications taking full responsibility for accurate and timely checks.
  • Maintenance of machinery – ensuring thorough cleaning and lubricants applied.
  • Operation of material conveyance system.
  • Operation of chiller systems.
  • Support the installation of new equipment/ machinery and provide ongoing maintenance to existing equipment as and when require.
  • Continuous improvement (Kaizen System) – Design, Develop and implementation of ideas.
  • Being an ambassador for safe working practices and the business’s clean as you go policy.
  • Willingness to develop personal skills and abilities in line with the company’s route to progression.
  • Flexibility to provide additional cover for holidays, absence, training etc.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a responsible and safe manner in the company’s best interests.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in an injection moulding role
  • Experience with Engel injection moulding machines preferred.
  • Familiarity with Viper 3-axis robots and Kuka 6 Axis robots.
  • Experience with machinery sizes ranging from 100t-1700t.
  • Mechanical and electrical experience advantageous.
  • Ability to read diagrams, technical drawings and manuals.
  • Strong awareness of Health and Safety requirements
  • Awareness of quality standards and their relevance in manufacturing
  • Experience of “5 why’s”
  • Excellent communicator in verbal, written and face to face forms.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Good at managing interpersonal relationships.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to understand and challenge data.

This is a full time permanent position 4 on 4 – rotations of Days 06:00 to 18:00 and Nights 18:00 to 06:00 Starting Salary between £35,000 and £40,000 dependent on relevant experience
