Real Estate Finance Solicitor (4–7 PQE) | London | Leading International Law Firm
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a 4–7 PQE Real Estate Finance solicitor to join the Banking & Finance team of a leading international law firm in London.
This role sits within a highly regarded banking and finance practice, offering exposure to a broad range of complex financing transactions beyond real estate finance.
The Team
You will work closely with lenders and borrowers across UK and international banks, debt funds, investment companies, corporate borrowers, funds and corporate trustees, advising on high-profile and often complex transactions.
While the primary focus of this role is real estate finance, you will also gain exposure to a wider range of finance work including:
- Leveraged and acquisition finance
- Private credit transactions
- Asset-based lending
- Corporate lending (secured and unsecured)
- Non-contentious restructurings and special situations
The Role
You will advise borrowers and lenders on a wide range of real estate finance transactions, including investment financings across asset classes such as retail, industrial, student accommodation, hotels and commercial offices, including large portfolio acquisitions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, negotiating and marking up complex financing documentation including facilities agreements
- Managing transactions with limited partner supervision
- Liaising directly with clients, lenders and external counsel
- Supervising trainees and junior lawyers
- Supporting business development initiatives, client pitches and networking activities
- Conducting legal research and supporting knowledge sharing within the team
About You
- 4–7 years PQE with strong real estate finance experience gained in private practice
- Background in a well-regarded banking & finance practice
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Confident managing transactions and client relationships
- Interest in business development and building a professional network
- Experience supervising junior lawyers or trainees is advantageous
