WeareseekingaSeniorRiskandComplianceManagertoplayapivotalroleinsafeguardingthefirm’sreputationandensuringadherencetoallapplicablelegalandregulatoryrequirements.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the HeadofRisk&Compliancedeveloping,implementing,andoverseeing the firm’s riskmanagementandcomplianceframeworks.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillworkcloselywithfeeearnersacrossallpracticeareastoembedacultureofcompliancethroughouttheorganisation.
- Conducting regularriskassessmentsacrossallareasofthefirm’soperations,identifyingpotentialvulnerabilities,andimplementingappropriatemitigationmeasures.Youwilldesignanddelivertrainingprogrammestoensureallstaffunderstandtheircomplianceobligations.
- Dealingwithreferralsfromthefirm’sclientandmatteronboardingteam,ensuringrobustclientduediligenceandconflict-checkingprocessesareinplaceandconsistentlyapplied.
- MonitoringregulatorydevelopmentsandworkingalongsidetheHeadofRisk&Complianceinadvisingthepartnershipontheimplicationsofneworamendedlegislation,guidance,andbestpracticestandards.
- SupportingtheHeadofRisk&Complianceinmanagingrelationshipswithexternalregulators,auditors,andinsurers,andcoordinatingresponsestoanyregulatoryenquiriesorinvestigations.
- PreparingcompliancereportsfortheManagementBoard,highlightingkeyrisks,incidents,andremedialactions.
- Maintainingthefirm’sriskregister,businesscontinuityplans,andincidentresponseprotocols.

Thisrolerequiresastrategicthinkerwithdeepexpertiseinlegalsectorregulation,includingSolicitorsRegulationAuthority(SRA)requirements,anti-moneylaundering(AML)obligations,anddataprotectionlegislation.
Theidealcandidatewillholdadegreeinlaw,business,orarelateddiscipline.Youwillhavesubstantialexperienceinariskandcompliancerolewithinalawfirm,withaproventrackrecordofdevelopingandimplementingcomplianceframeworks.
ThecandidatemustpossesscomprehensiveknowledgeofSRAregulatoryrequirements,AMLandsanctionslegislation,dataprotectionlaw(UKGDPRandtheDataProtectionAct2018),andprofessionalconductrules.
