Overview
Raffles London at The OWO on London’s Whitehall unites the allure and heritage of Raffles with one of the world’s most historic addresses. This Grade II* Edwardian building has been transformed into a stage for celebrations with fine dining, wellness, luxury accommodations, and versatile event spaces. Scope Of Position
Your role will be responsible for serving food and beverage to guests within the events department. You will also assist with event set up ensuring events are set up, run and delivered to guest expectations at the Raffles London OWO. You will maintain exceptional levels of guest communication, preparation, and delivery of all events and meetings across the events department, with the ability to pre-empt guest expectations. You will work in close contact with the planning, kitchen, bar and events teams to ensure guests expectations are met and surpassed.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and facilitate guest service of all food and beverage items.
- Liaise with the kitchen to control service speeds and standards.
- Oversee the setup and execution of all events across the hotel.
- Provide detailed and precise communication with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Prepare and reset event spaces for service while managing time-sensitive targets.
- Take on additional responsibilities in the absence of the line manager or senior employee.
- Perform other duties as required, including working in a different department or restaurant than usually assigned.
Health and Safety
- Report and rectify all potential and real hazards immediately.
- Be fully conversant with all departmental Fire, Emergency and Bomb procedures.
- Ensure safety of persons and property by adhering to laws and by anticipating hazards and planning defenses.
- Promote general awareness of Health and Safety in relation to all tasks and activities.
Qualifications
Essential
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbal and written.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering the best service and experiences.
- Proven track record of high levels of service under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities with professional appearance.
- Willingness to contribute to a 24h operational schedule when required.
Desirable
- Passion for delivering ultra-luxury service.
Previous experience within luxury hotel events service environments, working with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards.
