Job Overview

ACS Stainless Steel Fixings Limited is a leading design and manufacturing business supplying specialist structural building components and systems to the construction industry. We believe in investing in the training and development of talented individuals to expand our growing Team. A new and exciting opportunity for a Specification Manager has become available within our prestigious Technical Department.

Responsibilities

• Primarily office based using telephone and emails as the primary point of contact, while visiting sites as requested and attending business meetings to generate interest.
• Work directly under the Spec/Design Manager and liaise heavily with them.
• Influence product selection for a project, placing control in the hands of the manufacturer.
• Speak with subcontractors once initial interest has been raised, advise and provide product information to the actual buyer, leading to quotes and securing orders.
• Engage mainly with architects, contract managers and design engineers, introducing products at the beginning phase of the project design process.
• Assist in technical specification selling, focusing on product benefits, lifetime building operating costs and durability rather than price.

• Engineering background.
• Technically minded.
• Face-to-face consultation experience.
