MERJE is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager for a leading insurance company in the Insurance market. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Head of Compliance, providing oversight and advisory support across Commercial & Retail Broking business in UK & Ireland.
Location: London with hybrid working and occasional UK travel

The Role
The Compliance Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining regulatory compliance, providing leadership, and building strong relationships across the business. This position offers a competitive salary, benefits package, and flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities of the Compliance Manager:
- Maintain and promote customer focus, embedding Consumer Duty initiatives
- Support the Head of Compliance in delivering the annual Compliance Plan
- Provide regulatory advice and recommendations to improve performance and mitigate risks
- Develop and nurture strong connections to build trust and support effective oversight
- Review financial promotions to ensure compliance with relevant authorities
Required knowledge and experience for the Compliance Manager role:
- Solid understanding of FCA requirements relating to insurance distribution
- Strong technical FCA regulatory knowledge, particularly for non-investment insurance
- Experience at compliance management level or above
- Demonstrable experience of effective regulatory interpretation and application
- Industry recognised qualifications (desirable but not essential)
