Title: Key Art Design Director – Global Streaming Platform

Location: West London

Contract: 6 months

Day Rate: £432-£480 per day

Working Pattern: 5 days onsite, flexibility onsite

About the role

As Key Art Design Director, you will be the creative force behind the imagery that introduces stories to the world. You’ll lead the end‑to‑end development of Key Art campaigns – from concept to final delivery, ensuring every asset meets the highest standards of craft, clarity, and brand consistency. You’ll partner closely with senior creative leaders, marketing teams, production, localisation, and post‑production to deliver campaign visuals that cut through the noise and drive global engagement. This is a rare opportunity to influence the creative direction of a major international streaming brand and build a best‑in‑class Key Art capability from within.

What You’ll Be Doing

Creative Leadership & Vision

  • Define and champion the visual identity and quality bar for Key Art across genres, territories, and content tiers.
  • Lead concept development, creative direction, and final execution of campaign imagery for global releases.
  • Direct photography and motion shoots, overseeing creative execution on set and in post to ensure alignment with campaign vision.

Studio Building & Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing in‑house Key Art team.
  • Establish workflows, tools, and processes that enable scale, efficiency, and creative excellence.
  • Identify skills gaps and develop targeted training, coaching, and growth pathways for junior and mid‑level designers.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with content, marketing, localisation, and post‑production teams to align creative strategy with business goals.
  • Represent the creative studio at senior leadership level, confidently communicating vision, progress, and impact.

Essential Experience

  • Senior‑level creative or design leadership within entertainment, streaming, or a top creative agency.
  • Deep expertise in Key Art, campaign design, and visual storytelling for film, TV, or streaming.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and presentation tools (Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides).
  • Experience directing photography and motion shoots, with strong on‑set and post‑production knowledge.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high‑priority projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Technological fluency, including Generative AI tools, UX/UI principles, and working knowledge of HTML.

Preferred

  • Experience building or scaling an in‑house creative studio.
  • Strong commercial acumen and vendor management experience.
  • Familiarity with post‑production tools such as Frame.io.
  • A portfolio showcasing a breadth of Key Art and campaign work across genres and formats.
