Java Software Engineer

A growing financial services organisation in Manchester is looking for talented Java Software Engineers to join their expanding engineering team.

You’ll work on modern, scalable platforms that power critical financial applications, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Contribute to front‑end development using frameworks such as React (or similar)
• Build scalable APIs and Microservices
• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust solutions
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices

Key Skills

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Exposure to front‑end using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue (they use React but happy to cross train, you must of used a FE framework previously though)
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
