Enterprise Control Systems (ECS), part of SPX Technologies, is a leader in providing cutting-edge RF and datalink systems for the defence, security, and aerospace sectors. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Individual Contributor to join our dynamic team in Wappenham and help drive the commercial success of our market-leading datalink systems.
The Role:
This exciting position combines business development (70%) and account management (30%), focusing on securing new opportunities while nurturing existing relationships. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Territory Development: Manage and grow business in key regions, including the Balkans, Baltics, Middle East, and North Africa, while travelling internationally once per month to strengthen relationships.
- Partner Network Expansion: Identify and collaborate with resellers and agents to broaden ECS’s regional presence and grow our partner network.
- Direct and Indirect Sales: Engage stakeholders, including political influencers, embassies, end-users, system integrators, and partners. Direct sales efforts will play a significant role.
- Customer Engagement: Work with diverse clients, including aircraft manufacturers, government agencies, military, law enforcement, and coastguards. A focus on ground elements driving aircraft needs is essential.
- Market Strategy: Develop effective go‑to‑market plans tailored to varied commercial stakeholders.
- CRM Management: Use Salesforce to maintain accurate sales forecasts, manage accounts, and support data‑driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve commercial targets by managing specified territories and accounts.
- Establish effective sales strategies and routes to market.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities with regional partners and stakeholders.
- Present tailored, value‑added solutions to clients through detailed analysis.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, manage pricing strategies, and deliver accurate forecasts to internal teams.
- Identify market trends, competitive gaps, and technological opportunities in key territories.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Proven track record in sales with success in the Balkans, Baltics, Middle East, and North Africa. Experience in the USA is a bonus, though ECS currently focuses elsewhere.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with video, audio, and data management systems, or similar products.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Education: Degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred.
- Travel: Up to 50% travel is required.
- Collaboration: Weekly on‑site presence during onboarding is essential to integrate effectively into the team.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience using Salesforce to drive results.
Preferred Attributes:
- Success stories in the Balkans, Baltics, MENA regions, or similar territories.
- Knowledge of video and audio transmission technologies.
- Experience in defence, security, or aerospace markets, with an understanding of both direct and indirect sales channels.
