Programme Manager (hands on) – Cloud Software Development – Up to 90K

I’m partnering with an industry-leading global software house who are revolutionising cloud-based solutions worldwide. This isn’t just another Programme Manager role – this is your chance to orchestrate technical excellence across 6 distinct product streams while shaping the development practices of a truly innovative organisation.
THE ROLE BREAKDOWN
Location: Derby (Perfect work-life balance with 2 days office, 3 days WFH)Package: Up to £90,000 (plus excellent benefits)Company: Established global software house with cutting-edge cloud focus
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
This is a hands-on leadership position – not a typical PM role where you’re buried in spreadsheets!
You’ll be:
Leading 6 concurrent product streams (complexity that will challenge and excite you)Staying technically involved in decision-making and problem-solvingWorking with cutting-edge cloud tech (AWS/Microsoft frameworks)Building and optimizing distributed team workflowsDriving agile transformation at enterprise scale

WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves (Non-Negotiables):
* 8+ years of program management in software development* Strong technical background with actual programming experience* Cloud platform expertise (AWS/Microsoft – not just theoretical knowledge)* Agile scaling experience across multiple teams/products* Virtual team management proven track record* Process optimisation skills – you can spot inefficiencies and fix them* Stakeholder management at senior levels
Nice-to-Haves (But Highly Valued):
* Experience in global software organizations* DevOps/CI/CD background* Microservices architecture knowledge* Track record managing 5+ concurrent streams
