Business Development Executive

Location: Tamworth (Office-based with field sales)Salary: £30,000 basic + uncapped OTE of approx £40,000Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

An established and growing business is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to drive new business growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a target-driven B2B sales professional with strong new business development experience, who also enjoys developing and growing existing client relationships.

The role offers a mix of office-based sales activity and field-based client meetings, supported by modern CRM systems and nationwide fulfilment capabilities. With ambitious growth plans in place, this position offers genuine long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, client visits, and digital outreach (e.g. LinkedIn)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximise retention and repeat business
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and quotations
  • Close sales and successfully onboard new clients
  • Manage and update the sales pipeline using CRM systems
  • Analyse sales data to identify growth and upselling opportunities
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against targets
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets to maximise commission
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in B2B business development and cold calling
  • Demonstrable ability to generate and convert new business
  • Background in workwear, clothing, or product-based sales is advantageous
  • Self-motivated, organised, and target-driven
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
