Quality Inspector
£12.50 to £12.71 per hour, Temp to Perm position, Mon‑Friday 8am to 5pm (early finish on Friday), based in BS3 Bristol – Temporary ongoing position to start ASAP – Holiday, Pension, Parking plus more.
An established manufacturer producing a variety of components and parts in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment is recruiting a quality inspector to join their team. Working in a small team and reporting to the Quality Manager, this role will suit someone who has a can‑do attitude, excellent attention to detail and enjoys working in a busy, fast‑paced environment. This role offers support and will provide further development opportunities for the right candidate.
The quality inspector duties will include:
- Checking manufactured goods against drawings, including dimensions and materials
- Checking incoming raw materials for quality and counts
- Checking finished goods using measuring equipment
- Investigating any defaults and escalating accordingly
- Supporting 6S activity within the factory
- Supporting investigations into customer returns
The successful quality inspector will ideally have previously worked within a production or manufacturing environment. Previous experience in a similar role would be ideal, however our client will welcome applications from candidates with no experience. You must be able to challenge and question if procedures aren’t being followed and ensure appropriate actions are taken. You will also have good computer and IT skills, with a good knowledge of MS Office. Essential for this role is a can‑do attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills – and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast‑paced and demanding environment.
