Job Description:

The Commercial Strategic Planning Manager drives sustainable, profitable growth across the human and animal probiotics portfolios through clear commercial strategy, disciplined pricing architecture, and integrated planning. The role owns cost price structures and pricing corridors across key markets, balancing competitiveness with margin protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop mid- to long-term commercial and pricing strategies across human and animal probiotic channels (retail, practitioner, veterinary, feed, B2B, export).
  • Design, govern, and optimise pricing corridors based on cost-to-serve, competitive benchmarks, regulation, and customer value.
  • Own cost price structures (COGS, landed and market-specific costs) and partner with Finance and Supply Chain to reflect input cost and efficiency changes.
  • Lead annual and rolling commercial planning, forecasts, and budgets, integrating pricing and cost assumptions.
  • Monitor revenue, margin, and contribution; identify pricing leakage and margin risks, recommending corrective actions.
  • Analyse market, cost, and customer insights to support value-based pricing and species-specific propositions.
  • Establish pricing governance, KPIs, scenario modelling, and decision frameworks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, CD&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality.
  • Improve commercial planning, pricing tools, and organisational pricing capability.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong analytical, financial, and scenario-modelling capability.
  • Ability to translate scientific and technical complexity into commercial strategy.
  • Experience in commercial strategy, pricing, and margin management in supplements, pharma, animal health, nutrition, or FMCG.
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Science, or related discipline.

Desirable: experience in probiotics, microbiome, functional nutrition, and international pricing.
