BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Projects Manager to join a client who are in the construction industry based in London.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from the completion of the design stage to the completion of build works on site
  • Accept and commence build works as instructed
  • Conduct and document site visits to assess job requirements
  • Interpret designs and drawings to ensure accurate completion of works
  • Create and manage construction programmes compatible with deadlines
  • Liaise with third parties including warranty providers, building control, sub‑contractors, and clients to ensure clear communication and project management
  • Provide clear instructions to all parties to maintain professional standards and ensure works are completed to design specifications
  • Document and agree on any variations to the original design specification, ensuring these are tracked and promptly communicated for acceptance
  • Prepare necessary documentation for the completion of works, including risk assessments and method statements
  • Manage sub‑contractors to ensure professional standards are met
  • Procure plant and materials in line with project timescales
  • Oversee overall site management, allocating duties and resources efficiently
  • Maintain the Group’s database with project progress from start to finish
  • Prepare and submit invoices following the correct process

About You

  • Proven experience in project management within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project management
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to interpret technical plans and drawings
  • Proficient in preparing and managing documentation such as risk assessments and method statements
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Commitment to adhering to Health and Safety Regulations and company standards
