Procurement and Supply Chan Manager

Shoreditch

£60,000 – £65,000

Are you a commercially sharp, detail-driven Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager who thrives in complex, regulated environments? Do you combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the Procurement function within this fast‑growing SME.

We’re looking for a talented procurement and supply chain professional who can ensure the timely, cost‑effective acquisition of stock to safeguard supply continuity for customers whilst having a positive impact on the business’ profitability and efficiency.

What will the role involve?

  • Oversee a direct procurement spend of c £3m
  • Source items for stock from a range of suppliers from both the UK and Europe
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers, identifying opportunities for cost savings and driving maximum value for the business
  • Manage key supplier relationships, undertaking contract management and supplier performance reviews
  • Mitigate risk by developing contingency supply plans for all product lines through second / third supply sources
  • Accurately forecast product usage using historical data and insight from teams across the business
  • Ensure sufficient stock levels to maintain high product availability, whilst minimising waste
  • Anticipate and mitigate stock outages before they happen
  • Drive stock system accuracy and lead regular stock takes

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
  • Based in the office full time
  • Regular travel to visit second site based East of Central London (travel expensed)

Ideal Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar purchasing, procurement or supply chain role
  • Skilled in negotiation and supplier management
  • Strong inventory management skills, with experience of forecasting requirements and managing purchases to ensure product availability
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, highly regulated environment such as food, pharma, medical or healthcare
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Good systems and analytical skills (Intermediate Excel as a minimum)
