Registered Children’s Home ManagerLocation: PrestonSalary: Up to £55,000 (DOE) + Bonus up to £8,500Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday to Friday)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and reputable care provider for a Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a small, specialist residential service in Preston.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up, to join an organisation committed to delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for young people.

The home is a 2-bed EBD service, often supporting solo placements, providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for young people aged 8–18 with complex emotional, behavioural, and social needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the children’s home
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation
  • Lead, support, and develop the staff team
  • Promote a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for young people
  • Maintain high standards of care and safeguarding

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (desirable)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare
  • At least 12 months’ experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements
