Mechanical Pre-Construction Manager Northern Ireland (NI-based) Full-time, Permanent Salary: £50,000 £65,000 (depending on experience) About the Role We are seeking a Mechanical Pre-Construction Manager to join a growing Projects team. You will lead the mechanical design process from tender stage through to design completion, ensuring projects are technically compliant, efficient, and commercially viable. Key Responsibilities Manage projects from final bid stage through to RIBA Stage 5 design completion Lead and coordinate mechanical design (Stages 35) Ensure designs meet client requirements, regulations, and industry standards Work closely with commercial teams to support accurate and competitive bids Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical and other disciplines Carry out site surveys, technical audits, and risk assessments Support procurement by ensuring designs meet specifications Liaise with clients, contractors, and supply chain partners Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (CIBSE, BSRIA, UK Building Regs) Contribute to sustainable design standards (BREEAM/LEED) Help improve pre-construction processes and workflows Essential: 2+ years experience in a similar role (M&E / Building Services) Strong knowledge of HVAC, heating, ventilation, and mechanical systems Good understanding of design specifications, calculations, and costings Knowledge of building regulations and sustainability standards Strong communication and organisational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Desirable: HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering Experience with CAD, Revit, Navisworks, or BIM If youre interested in applying for this role please either send your CV via the link provided or directly to For further information call Jess at Kenect Recruitment -…
