We are seeking a commercially focused finance professional to join a fast-growing business. This varied role involves working across multiple areas of the business to support growth initiatives and strategic projects. The Corporate FP&A professional will support strategic financial planning and investment decisions across the organisation. This role will partner closely with senior leadership to deliver robust financial insights, long-term planning, and support for M&A and capital investment initiatives.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with strong analytical skills and experience in financial modelling and corporate planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the evaluation of new business opportunities by developing financial models and providing insight into potential returns.
- Assist with negotiations and internal forecasting related to long-term commercial agreements.
- Monitor the financial and operational performance of projects and contracts.
- Maintain financial models to reflect changing market conditions and business assumptions.
- Prepare investment or approval papers for internal decision-making processes.
- Track project performance metrics and identify factors impacting returns.
- Support financial analysis related to potential acquisitions or strategic investments.
- Provide insights to support financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Deliver variance analysis and financial insights to support executive decision-making.
- Maintain and improve the group’s financial planning models and reporting frameworks.
- Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis to evaluate strategic initiatives and investment opportunities.
- Support the evaluation of acquisition opportunities, including financial due diligence and valuation analysis.
- Build and maintain M&A financial models to assess potential deals.
Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
- Experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategy finance roles.
- Strong financial modelling and investment appraisal skills.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.
- Ability to communicate financial insights to senior leadership.
- Commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Good understanding of commercial contracts and project economics.
- Ability to interpret financial and business data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
