What You’ll Be Doing

As a Business Admin Apprentice you’ll work within our Transport Service team, contributing to the supporting of fleet drivers across Kirklees.

Day to day, you will carry out business support tasks which include:

  • Main reception duties; the first point of contact with customers/clients in connection with vehicle services/hires, transport complaints or compliments and taxi driver vehicle testing
  • Using specialist IT systems to make payments to and to raise purchase orders and checking invoices
  • Processing invoices and raising purchase orders
  • Checking vehicles on delivery/returned
  • Work with the workshop stores officers to provide materials for the workshop. Supporting stock control management and using IT systems to check stock levels to ensure accuracy.
  • Make bookings for fleet driver training assessments for all fleet drivers across the Council
  • Attend college weekly and complete all coursework on time
