Senior Salesforce Developer (Active SC Cleared)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join a mission‑critical project within the Public Sector / Defence space. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex Salesforce solutions that adhere to stringent security standards.
Since this role involves working with sensitive data, active SC Clearance is a non‑negotiable prerequisite. You will balance high‑level programmatic development with declarative “low‑code” solutions to deliver a robust, scalable platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Custom Development: Build and maintain high‑performance, reusable, and reliable Apex code and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Architecture & Design: Translate complex business requirements into elegant Salesforce solutions while ensuring “Security by Design.”
- Integration: Design and implement secure APIs and middleware integrations (REST/SOAP) between Salesforce and internal/external legacy systems.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Manage deployments using tools like Copado, Gearset, or Salesforce DX within a secure environment.
- Security Compliance: Ensure all developments meet the specific security protocols required for SC‑level data handling, including Shield, event monitoring, and advanced encryption.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Must‑Haves:
- Clearance: Valid, active SC Clearance (used within the last 12 months).
- Salesforce Expertise: Minimum (4+) years of hands‑on Salesforce development.
- Coding: Advanced proficiency in Apex (Triggers, Controllers, Batch), LWC, and Aura Components.
- Declarative Tools: Mastery of Flow Builder and complex sharing models.
- Certifications: Platform Developer I (PDI) is essential; PDII or Sharing and Visibility Designer is highly preferred.
Nice‑to‑Haves:
- Experience with Salesforce Shield and Field Audit Trail.
- Background in UK Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.
- Experience with MuleSoft or other enterprise integration platforms.
