IT Infrastructure Security Engineer

A leading professional membership and standards body is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to support and enhance a modern hybrid IT environment. This hands‑on role combines infrastructure operations, cybersecurity engineering, disaster recovery readiness, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise on‑prem and cloud infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, endpoints).
• Support deployments, patching, identity management (AD / Azure AD), and operational automation.
• Oversee backups, disaster recovery, business continuity, and major incident resolution.
• Monitor and respond to SIEM/EDR alerts; conduct vulnerability scanning and remediation.
• Maintain firewalls, endpoint protection, and security controls; support Cyber Essentials+ compliance.
• Collaborate with IT, Digital Transformation, Data teams, and third‑party suppliers.

Skills & Experience

• ITIL Foundation and Microsoft MCSE (or equivalent).
• Strong experience with Azure, Office 365, Active Directory, VMware, Windows Server, SCCM, and PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of networks, hybrid cloud environments, and mobile device management.
• Solid understanding of Cyber Security and its relevant frameworks – Cyber Essentials +, ISO and NIST.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Cisco certifications highly desirable.
