The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Claims Handler to join the Bristol office, supporting a portfolio of large SME and corporate clients. This role will involve managing a diverse claims book while working closely with Account Executives, insurers, and clients to ensure claims are handled efficiently and professionally.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality claims service and will occasionally travel to London to attend client meetings and presentations alongside the broking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial claims from first notification through to settlement
- Provide proactive claims support to large SME and corporate clients
- Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders to progress claims efficiently
- Advise clients on claims strategy and policy coverage
- Support Account Executives with claims reviews and client presentations
- Maintain accurate claims records and ensure compliance with internal procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve claims outcomes and client experience
About You
- Previous experience in a commercial insurance claims handling role
- Experience dealing with SME or corporate client claims preferred
- Strong understanding of the commercial insurance market and claims processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple claims and prioritise workload effectively
- Comfortable presenting claims updates in client meetings when required
- Willingness to travel occasionally to London for client engagements
