Project Manager – Legacy Systems Transformation – Contract

£750/800 per day (Inside IR35) – Initial 6 months piece of work.

We are supporting a Lloyd’s market insurer on a large-scale legacy modernisation programme, currently around 12 months into a 2-year transformation.

The programme focuses on modernising core legacy platforms, particularly a claims system as well as other legacy platforms

The successful Project Manager will work closely with programme leadership and delivery teams to ensure progress against delivery metrics and sprint commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage delivery within a SAFe / Agile environment (sprints, ceremonies, sprint reviews etc.)
• Track weekly delivery metrics and ensure programme milestones are met
• Understand and communicate the impact of missed timelines or delivery risks
• Prioritise effectively across competing workstreams
• Operate as a strategic thinker while still being hands‑on with delivery
• Challenge constructively and think on their feet when delivery issues arise

Key experience

• Strong insurance industry experience (ideally within the Lloyd’s market)
• Ability to clearly articulate personal contribution and value added on previous programmes
• Experience delivering within SAFe / Agile frameworks
