Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer within the Design & Delivery Team at Manchester Town Hall to help deliver Manchester City Council’s capital programme by providing a range of professional construction related services.
This role requires excellent contract administration and project management skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, residents, and internal and external agencies.
Proficiency in IT packages such as MS Word and Excel is required, with the ability to manage, update and share information daily through various software packages.
Working in a multidisciplinary team and demonstrating a personal commitment to continuous self-development and service improvement is essential.
Successful candidates must demonstrate a sound working knowledge of building construction, building regulations and planning applications. Qualification of HND, HNC or equivalent, or a degree in a building construction related subject with at least 2 years’ experience is required; corporate membership of RICS, CIOB or equivalent is desirable.
Candidate Profile
Experience of excellent contract administration and project management skills, effective liaison with contractors, residents and agencies.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel). Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Working knowledge of building construction, building regulations and planning applications.
