Project Manager | Civils (Water Sector) | Yorkshire | £55k – £65k + Package
I’m working with a growing civil engineering contractor to recruit a Project Manager due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work across Yorkshire.
This is an office-based role with regular site visits, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of projects within a hands-on, delivery-focused business.
The Role;
You’ll be responsible for managing civil engineering projects from planning through to completion, with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure schemes.
Key responsibilities include;
- Managing projects end-to-end from pre-construction through to delivery
- Coordinating site teams, plant, and direct labour
- Overseeing programmes, budgets, and quality standards
- Managing projects including rising mains, drainage, and storm flow works
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues
- Supporting procurement, planning, and reporting activities
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained throughout
- Managing project risks and driving efficient delivery
What You’ll Need;
- Backgrounds considered: Site Engineer, Site Manager, General Foreman
- Experience delivering projects within the water or wastewater sector
- Strong understanding of drainage, pipelines, and sewer infrastructure
- Experience working for a self-delivery contractor
- Ability to manage projects rather than just subcontract packages
- Good knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site operations
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Must have the right to work in the UK
