The Role
You will join as a Founding Engineer in a seed-stage AI startup building systems that transform how the pharmaceutical industry processes critical information.
You will help design and build the core platform that ingests global pharma data, applies AI reasoning, and turns raw information into actionable insight and automated workflows for enterprise customers.
Working directly with the founders, you will shape the architecture, infrastructure, and engineering culture from day one while building a product designed to scale into a major enterprise platform.
What They’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have worked in an environment where they’ve been able to work experimentally with AI and build their own agents.
- LLM orchestration and prompt engineering, building and optimising AI-driven workflows in production
- Vector databases and modern AI data pipelines, including embedding strategies and retrieval systems
- Data ingestion pipelines including APIs, RSS feeds, and web scraping
- Python development,
- TypeScript development
- React frontend development
- PostgreSQL database architecture
- Cloud infrastructure and SaaS deployment
- Observability, testing frameworks, and CI pipelines
You will have proven experience shipping AI-enabled or data-intensive products such as SaaS platforms or production pipelines, alongside strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to quickly adopt and apply emerging AI technologies. You will also be comfortable working with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, or similar as part of your day-to-day development workflow.
