Job Profile Summary
Chaucer Group is an international group of insurance & reinsurance entities with locations in London, Dublin, Copenhagen, Bermuda, Dubai, Singapore, Miami and Sydney.
This role forms part of the Group Compliance function’s leadership team, and will be responsible for the regulatory sub-team. It will be a core part of delivering and developing the Chaucer group compliance framework across the various jurisdictions in which it operates.
Job Description
Lead and develop the Regulatory function within the Compliance team.
Maintain and develop relationships with domestic and international regulators as necessary.
Lead and deliver the Compliance function’s annual risk assessments including the Compliance risk assessment & financial crime risk assessment.
Contribute to both internal and external compliance reporting as required.
Responsibility for delivery of continued SMCR Compliance, including ownership of the Group’s regulatory applications and notifications processes.
Responsibility for Chaucer’s horizon scanning process, working closely with the Advisory function to ensure relevant change is captured and implemented as necessary.
Manage and develop team members supporting their career paths.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant Chaucer departments.
Responsibility for compliance related policies, procedures and standards across the business.
Deliver communications in relation to regulatory & policy updates, and conduct training in relation to new regulatory change and updated compliance policies as required.
Coordinate periodic reviews and updates in line with regulatory change initiatives.
Lead on and conduct impact assessments where required and translate requirements into business change objectives.
Maintain the Compliance universe documentation and mapping.
Responsibility for Chaucer’s Principles Based Oversight Attestation and other international regulatory assessments, returns and projects as required.
