Windows System Administrator

Insight Global are seeking a Windows Systems Administrator for a leading technology organisation.

This position requires 5 days onsite in Cambridge, UK on a 12‑month rolling contract (Inside IR35).

Day-to-Day Overview:

The role is ideal for someone hands‑on who has been the “go‑to” IT person in a smaller environment or enjoys working across a broad range of systems. You’ll support Windows and Linux environments, troubleshoot lab and legacy systems, and collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, QA, and hypervisor teams.

Must‑Have Requirements Include:

• Strong background in Windows Systems Administration
• Active Directory (users, permissions, policy management)
• Foundational networking (DNS, DHCP, routing basics)
• Group Policy & Windows security controls
• Hands‑on hardware troubleshooting and repair
• PowerShell Scripting Experience
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and comfort with legacy systems
