Residential Property Conveyancer/Solicitor

Due to the firm’s ongoing expansion, we are looking for an experienced conveyancer to join our team. Our residential property department is based in Fareham and you would be reporting to the director of the firm.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Taking ownership of your own mixed caseload and handling the transaction from start to finish.
• Progressing cases in a timely manner.
• Dealing directly with clients, referrers and third parties.
• Assisting with the training of junior members of staff.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Providing expert advice and assistance to clients.
• Working with the case management system and keeping this up to date.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Solicitor, CILEX or Licensed Conveyancer preferable, alternatively experienced conveyancer.
• Experience handling own case load.
• Strong knowledge of conveyancing procedures.
• Minimum 2 years experience in residential conveyancing.
• Ability to work to deadlines and work well under the pressures of a busy conveyancing department.
• Able to work well both as a part of a team and individually.
• Comfortable with a variety of different transactions, including both Freehold and Leasehold.
