Fawkes & Reece are proud to be partnering with an esteemed and rapidly growing contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager for a high-profile onshore windfarm project in South Wales.

This is an outstanding permanent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering major renewable energy infrastructure schemes, with a strong pipeline of work and clear career progression.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a multi-million-pound onshore wind project, overseeing all phases from pre-construction through to completion. You will lead the site team, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery from tender handover to completion
  • Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality standards
  • Develop and maintain risk and opportunity registers
  • Chair and attend client and progress meetings throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee planning, resourcing, and sequencing of works
  • Work closely with the commercial team to monitor costs and forecast performance
  • Drive a strong health & safety culture across site operations
  • Implement defect prevention strategies and ensure successful project handover

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within heavy civil engineering
  • Strong background delivering infrastructure or energy-related projects
  • Civil Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BEng, or MEng)
  • Chartered status or working towards CEng/ICEng preferred
  • Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, SMSTS, CSCS)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Previous experience delivering renewable energy or onshore wind projects
  • Project Management qualifications (e.g., Prince2, APM, or equivalent)
