Fawkes & Reece are proud to be partnering with an esteemed and rapidly growing contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager for a high-profile onshore windfarm project in South Wales.

The Role
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a multi-million-pound onshore wind project, overseeing all phases from pre-construction through to completion. You will lead the site team, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project delivery from tender handover to completion
- Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality standards
- Develop and maintain risk and opportunity registers
- Chair and attend client and progress meetings throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee planning, resourcing, and sequencing of works
- Work closely with the commercial team to monitor costs and forecast performance
- Drive a strong health & safety culture across site operations
- Implement defect prevention strategies and ensure successful project handover
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within heavy civil engineering
- Strong background delivering infrastructure or energy-related projects
- Civil Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BEng, or MEng)
- Chartered status or working towards CEng/ICEng preferred
- Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, SMSTS, CSCS)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Desirable
- Previous experience delivering renewable energy or onshore wind projects
- Project Management qualifications (e.g., Prince2, APM, or equivalent)
