What you’ll be doing
- Safely deliver the portfolio of projects required for generation and in preparation for defueling to time, cost and quality parameters.
- Responsible for the front‑end strategy from definition of need and through optioneering.
- Maintain strong relationships with project sponsors and members of the Station lead team so projects are effectively supported by the business.
- Support the day‑to‑day management of staff and contractors, including their safety and wellbeing, and engage the team in operational learning.
- Ensure project and portfolio level risks are identified and effectively managed.
Who you are
- Demonstrated track record of delivering projects in heavily regulated and operational environments, preferably in the nuclear industry.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant health, safety and environment legislation, specifically CDM Regulations, and a strong commitment to nuclear safety and zero harm.
- Ability to form strong and meaningful relationships with suppliers, regulators, nuclear services and technical directorates, and to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
- Preferably degree educated, ideally in engineering or a relevant field, and a Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional qualification. APMP or RPP qualification is desirable.
