We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Tech & Media lawyer (4+PQE) for our expanding team in London.
About The Role
We are looking to recruit an Associate (4+ PQE) with strong experience in consumer and digital regulation to join our Tech & Media team in London.
Role
This role will have a particular focus on advising a range of online platforms and other clients on regulatory risk in fast‑evolving legal environments and includes:
- Providing regulatory advice (including consumer law, digital regulation, advertising regulation and online safety) to a range of clients, including social media, gaming and ecommerce platforms.
- Providing strategic counsel on potential regulatory scrutiny, and helping clients devise risk‑based policies and compliance approaches.
- Product counselling for product design and launch.
- Coordinating multi‑jurisdictional advice across the EU and globally.
- Supervising junior associates and/or trainees on large or complex mandates.
- Drafting consumer‑facing terms and conditions and policies.
- Contributing to thought leadership and business development initiatives.
- Advising on regulatory engagement, including responses to regulatory enquiries and requests for information and working with our Litigation team on regulatory investigations and enforcement matters.
About You

- Strong regulatory experience in (some or all of) consumer law, advertising regulation, digital regulation, online safety and/or gambling regulation.
- Appropriate level of post qualification experience in a City, major regional or leading international firm or industry in‑house company.
- To meet the demands of the role we envisage this to be 4 year+ PQE but candidates outside of this may also be considered.
- Experience and confidence in dealing directly with clients.
- Excellent technical and analytical skill and the ability to translate legal theory into practical, risk‑based and actionable advice.
- Experience of running your own files, supervising more junior members of a team and assisting partners on more complex projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast‑paced and evolving environment.
