Chief Information Officer (CIO) – LAW EXPERIENCE

A leading London-based law firm is seeking a commercially astute, technology-driven Chief Information Officer to lead its next phase of digital transformation. This is a critical leadership role for a proven CIO with deep legal sector experience—you must have operated within a law firm environment and understand the nuances of legal service delivery.

You will take ownership of the firm’s technology strategy, driving innovation, operational excellence, and AI-led transformation across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute a forward-thinking IT and digital strategy aligned to firm-wide objectives
• Lead modernisation of core legal systems, infrastructure, and cloud platforms
• Champion AI adoption to enhance legal workflows, knowledge management, and client delivery
• Oversee IT operations, cyber security, governance, and risk management
• Partner with senior stakeholders and practice groups to deliver high-impact technology solutions
• Build and lead a high-performing IT function, fostering innovation and accountability
• Current or recent CIO / IT Director within a law firm (non-negotiable)
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Elite 3E Cloud
• NetDocuments
• Microsoft E5 ecosystem
• ServiceNow
• Demonstrated track record delivering AI-enabled transformation initiatives
• Deep understanding of legal tech, compliance, and data governance within a law firm setting
