Position Summary
I am representing a global research brand who is undertaking a tenant-to-tenant migration as part of a separation programme. This includes the migration of users, servers, identities, mailboxes, collaboration platforms, and associated services between Microsoft 365 tenants.
You will provide advanced operational and technical support during pre-migration, migration, and post-migration phases. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving complex user, identity, server, authentication, and application issues arising from tenant transitions.
This is a hands‑on technical role requiring strong troubleshooting expertise across identity, mail, collaboration, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Key responsibilities
- L2/L3 support for M365, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Outlook during user migration, including mail flow, permissions, authentication/MFA, profile issues, and UPN/domain conflicts.
- Troubleshoot identity issues across AD, Entra ID/Azure AD, and AAD Connect, including sync errors, SSO/federation faults, attribute mismatches, and duplicate objects.
- Support server and infrastructure migration, including hybrid Exchange, mail relays, DNS/MX/SPF/DKIM, application authentication, and service account issues.
- Perform post‑migration validation, fixing permission gaps, missing groups, Teams/SharePoint access issues, and validating mailbox integrity.
- Use BitTitan and Quest tools; develop PowerShell scripts for bulk updates, permissions, reporting, and licence adjustments; maintain documentation.
