The Role
This role is designed for ambitious and motivated sales professionals looking to accelerate their career in IT sales. As a Junior Business Development Executive, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships, supporting new business development, and helping customers find the right mix of technology products and Managed Services to meet their needs.
You will be selling across a wide portfolio of hardware, software and services, including products from Dell, Lenovo and HP, while collaborating with our technical presales, subject matter experts, and solution sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Sell a wide range of IT products and solutions, including hardware, software and support services.
- Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation to quotation and order processing.
- Utilise distribution and vendor deal registration processes effectively.
- Set up discovery and qualification conversations, linking technical landscapes to business challenges and commercial outcomes.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, pipelines and forecasts.
- Work collaboratively with internal technical and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Uphold DCS’s values through every interaction, with customers, vendors and colleagues.
Ideal Experience and Skills
- 2+ years’ experience in IT sales, ideally with exposure to Dell, Lenovo, HP or equivalent technology vendors.
- Proven success selling IT services, managed services or XaaS/recurring revenue solutions.
- Has at least 1 year of technical sales background in some cloud, development or IT environment.
- Experience selling into SMB/SME organisations (50–500 users); experience with education/schools is a plus but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence speaking with customers at all levels and presenting solutions clearly.
- Ability to quickly understand customer requirements, spot commercial opportunities and translate them into profitable solutions.
- Evidence of working both independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, presentation and written communication skills.
- High levels of self‑organisation, CRM discipline and attention to detail.

- Be delivering margin contribution of at least 125% of their role cost.
- Maintain 3x pipeline coverage, with accurate and reliable forecasting.

- Built strong relationships with key customers and vendor partners.
- Proven understanding of DCS’s product and service portfolio.
