Finance Business Analyst

Location: Liverpool (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)

Contract Length: 6 months initial

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Analyst to join a well-established financial services organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This role will play a key part in delivering finance-focused change initiatives, working closely with stakeholders across finance, technology, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with finance stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for technical teams
• Support finance transformation initiatives, including process improvement and system enhancements
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis activities
• Work closely with project managers and developers to ensure successful delivery of solutions
• Assist with testing, including UAT planning and execution
• Ensure alignment with regulatory and reporting requirements where applicable

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within finance or financial services environments
• Strong understanding of finance processes (e.g. reporting, forecasting, reconciliations)
• Experience working on finance system implementations or transformations
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Experience with data analysis and process mapping tools
• Comfortable working in an agile or hybrid delivery environment
