Robseal Roofing Solutions Ltd are a single ply membrane installation company with over 40 years of experience, working with a mix of high-end clients, commercial and domestic projects. Our attention to detail, first class delivery and striving to be the best must be maintained at all times.
As the Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the performance of multiple roofing projects. You will be responsible for ensuring each contract is delivered in line with its terms, managing key risks, optimising commercial outcomes, and maintaining client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Managing the teams successfully is a major key role here: they are the face of our company and must be enthused and content while “towing the line” and following the rules.

Specific Roles:
- Work closely with the MD who is responsible for pricing/sales etc. This will involve a hand-over process for you to understand the project specifics and also feeding back information to ensure that applications and invoices pick up any differences from the order value.
- Overseeing the works program: this will be in tandem with the MD. You will be required to look after the works program, liaising with customers and with the MD who will be negotiating start dates with potential new clients/projects.
- Updating and maintaining Health & Safety protocols. Ensure our sites and all site staff are kept and are fully compliant with H&S legislation. You will require SSSTS or SMSTS, training for which can be arranged if you don’t currently have it. Ensure all teams have RAMS and understood them, hot work permit system, tool box talks, and ensuring the correct provision of PPE.
- Site staff management: Keeping the teams on-track, enthused, happy and ensuring that company rules and expectations are maintained at all times. Keeping our “Connecteam” app updated (this is a portal App to provide job information to the teams).
- You will be the first point of contact for all “live” project clients.
- Monthly valuations: this will be a shared role with the MD.
- Ordering of materials: the ordering will be done by office staff but a check and verification of what is needed and when will be your responsibility.
- Ordering of metal fabrications: identifying what we need and placing simple orders to the fabrication company.
- End of month site stock check: a material count is required on the last day of each month for all materials on site.
- Keep up to date with building regulations to ensure compliance.
- Keep up to date with manufacturers’ installation guidance to ensure compliance for guarantees.
- Visit to each project prior to commencement to ensure it is ready, we have everything we need and it is as per our quotation.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the UK flat roofing sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of single ply systems.
- Ability to read construction drawings.
- Good understanding of JCT contracts and subcontract conditions.
- Strong planning, organisational, and cost control skills.Confident communicator, both verbally and written, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- IT literate, including Microsoft Office.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- SMSTS (preferred).
- CSCS Managers Card (preferred).
- First Aid at Work (preferred).
- Manufacturer-approved single ply training/certification (desirable).
