Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our London office.

Summary of some of the main (not all) duties can be found below:

Team Management

  • Manage your team to achieve executive targets, agreed KPIs and objectives
  • Manage your team workload to make sure that it is appropriately allocated and prioritised in a fair and consistent manner
  • Manage your team’s absence including illness and requests for leave
  • Liaise with the Associate Director and other Senior Account Managers to ensure adequate resource during periods of unplanned absence
  • Ensure your client services team follows and adheres to agreed process and procedures
  • To liaise and work with Associate Director and Senior Account Managers to ensure agreed procedures are efficient and fit for purpose
  • Review management information and reports as necessary, ensuring that the appropriate action is taken
  • Advise line manager of any current, potential, or perceived problems with insurer markets or service providers

Commercial Broking

  • Interaction with prospects and clients to collect and collate information in respect of new business enquiries, renewals and mid-term adjustments
  • Preparation of presentations and submissions to insurers
  • Negotiate policy terms, conditions, premium, and income
  • Review market results, analyse information gathered and undertake sufficient research, to make suitable insurer and product recommendations and demonstrate competency by explaining the extent of cover
  • Production and presentation of client reports for new business quotation and renewal terms
  • Provide advice to clients and prospects on an ongoing basis in respect of current insurance policies and additional insurance products for consideration
  • Arrange cover to comply with the client instructions
  • Process new business, renewal and mid-term adjustments efficiently, effectively and in accordance with FCA and Thomas, Carroll procedures
  • Check all documentation for accuracy before issuing to clients or appropriate parties
  • Debt management work to ensure premiums and fees are collected and allocated appropriately and keep line manager informed of any current, potential or perceived problems with bad debts
  • Maintain accurate client and prospect records
  • Build good working relationships with insurers, clients and prospects
  • Assist colleagues in the completion of their duties

Skills & Job Requirements

  • Team Management and Leadership experience essential
  • Diploma (Dip CII) or Advanced Diploma (ACII) qualified, or working towards completion strongly preferred
  • Commercial Broking Insurance experience essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organisational skills

  • An effective team player

Job Type & Working Hours

  • Location: London
  • Full-time, 35 hours per week
  • 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Salary dependent on experience
