CAD Design Engineer

Our client specializes in the manufacture of products for the water treatment and building services sectors. Due to growth, they now require a CAD Design Engineer to work from their busy North East hub.

Working within the Engineering team your primary duties will be:

• To develop 3D CAD from concepts and general assembly drawings.
• Transfer 3D CAD to detailed 2D drawings.
• Drawing and CAD control and release.
• Detailing within 3D Modelling.
• Improving Modelling and efficiencies in the system
• Product and component file structure and management.
• BIM (Building Information Modelling) implementation plan.
• Support of Installation & Operation Manual (IOM) process.
• Comply with any reasonable management request within the bounds of the terms and conditions of employment.
• Support the implementation and development of GPS. 

The person:

• Hunger to Learn
• Eye for detail and 2D Drawing experience
• Plenty of 3D Modelling software experience – Catia Ideal but not necessary
• Pipework or Structural steel experience is desirable
