This role is in support of Cencora’s veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business. MWI Animal Health is a leading brand of Cencora, offering animal health services globally.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Business Partner to join our Health, Safety & Environment team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. You will take ownership of HSE activity across our Stoke Distribution Centre and Northern sites, acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and teams.
This is a hands-on role focused on risk assessments, auditing/inspections, legal compliance, corrective actions and non-conformance management, supporting the effective delivery of our HSE management system and helping embed a strong HSE culture across the business.
Location:Stoke-on-Trent with travel to our other locations in the North & Scotland
Job Type:12-month Fixed Term Contract, Full Time, 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with site leadership and teams toembed a strong HSE cultureand promote safe, compliant working practices.
Support the delivery and ongoing improvement of theHSE management system, aligned to business and operational needs.
Lead and support completion and review ofrisk assessments, ensuring actions are captured and progressed.
ConductHSE audits and inspectionsacross Stoke and Northern sites, track findings and drive closure of actions.
Own and managelegal and compliance activities, includingcorrective actionsandnon-conformance logs.
Supportincident reporting and investigations, using Root Cause Analysis where appropriate and supporting trend analysis.
Coach and advise leaders and team members, helping raise capability through guidance andHSE training support.
Contribute to maintaining and improving compliance with relevant standards (includingISO 45001 / ISO 14001, where applicable).
Skills and Experience
Essential
NEBOSH General Certificate(or equivalent).
Experiencein aHSE Coordinator (or similar)role.
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability toinfluence stakeholdersacross operations.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage actions, logs, and follow-through.
Full UK driving licenceand willingness to travel across multiple sites.
Desirable
Involvement withISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001implementation/maintenance.
NEBOSH Diploma.
Lead/Internal Auditor certification
Experience indistribution centres, warehousing, transport or logisticsenvironments.
Environmental qualification and/or experience withIIE (Investors in the Environment).
