Role: Mechanical Engineer (with some Electrical bias)Location: Tata Steel, Lissue Walk, Lisburn BT28 2SNRate: Competitive and based upon experience.Quarterly bonus, Overtime (OT 1.5) and callout payments also availableShift Patterns: Lisburn runs a 24 hour operation. Opportunity for a 3 shift rotation(days, nights and afternoons) or days only.Start: ASAP but pending the successful completion of a medical assessment, whichdoes include a Drug and Alcohol test
Responsibilities:Ensuring decoiling, slitting and shearing machinery is maintained to thehighest mechanical standardsSupporting with electrical maintenance and repair on machinery listed abovePerforming necessary reactive breakdown repairs to minimise disruption to productionAssisting in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actionsLeading preventative maintenance activitiesReporting and recording maintenance and repair details using relevant IT andmaintenance management systemsFacilitating engineering solutions for process improvement to ensureefficiency and productivity targets are metSupporting the development and implementation of processes complying withTata Steel H&S Management System
Accountability for individual Health and Safety but also the H&S of otherswithin a SSOWMaintaining clear and concise records to track trends and identifyimprovements
Essential requirements:NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant electrical trade or arecognized apprenticeship (highly desired)2+ years experience as a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer within aManufacturing and/or Heavy IndustryDriving licence and access to own vehicle (due to callouts and 24 houroperation)Strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge especially in relation to PPMEvidence of PPM implementation, delivery and controlGood knowledge of Electrical Engineering, mainly in relation to AC/DC motors, Gearboxes and fault findingExcellent UK Health and Safety knowledge and experience
