Project Manager – Civil Engineering
Glasgow, Scotland (with travel to sites when needed)
Permanent | Full Time (45 hours per week)
£65,000 – 75,000 per annum plus package and benefits
Responsibilities:– Lead tender handover and pre-start activities, ensuring clear understanding of scope, risks and programme – Manage site mobilisation, logistics, welfare and traffic management arrangements – Establish and maintain project controls, reporting systems and documentation processes – Oversee short-term planning, coordinate interfaces and implement recovery strategies where needed – Chair progress meetings with internal teams and clients, ensuring accurate reporting and updates – Monitor costs, manage resources and reconcile expenditure against forecasts – Maintain and manage risk registers, ensuring mitigation measures are tracked and delivered – Ensure compliance with specifications, drawings and quality standards – Collaborate with technical and design teams to resolve engineering challenges
Requirements:– Proven experience in a Project Manager role within civil engineering or similar – Strong commercial awareness with solid understanding of cost and value management – Skilled in programme planning and coordination – Confident leader with the ability to drive performance and resolve issues proactively – Background in Civil Engineering with knowledge of temporary works – Experience preparing and reviewing RAMS and permits – SMSTS qualified – Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline
