Job Purpose

At Freemarket, we set ambitious goals and targets. In your role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to identify, pursue, negotiate, and successfully onboard new clients who align with our profile and risk appetite. Your efforts will ultimately help us achieve these objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Employ a strategic approach to targeting verticals and sub‑verticals, maximising wins with current clients effectively.
  • Deliver on new business revenue targets as a key priority.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities by pinpointing prospects and assessing their market position through thorough research and analysis of prospect persona.
  • Take charge of managing client prospects through the onboarding process with our Client Success team, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Execute precise forecasting and reporting, managing the sales pipeline with confidence while presenting actionable execution plans.
  • Collaborate closely with VPs and the Product & Banking Team to prioritise product development and banking supplier needs effectively.
  • Work hand‑in‑hand with the Risk and Compliance Team to ensure we meet all requirements for safely and efficiently onboarding target clients.
  • Build and leverage robust relationships both internally and externally at multiple levels to enhance our network and impact.

Role Profile

We are looking for an experienced BDD with in‑depth knowledge of the online payments and banking markets as well as substantial experience in the PSP, Gaming/Gambling, or Crypto/CFD industries. The ideal candidate will be driven by success, a self‑starter with a proven track record of exceeding targets.

With Experience From Some Or All The Following

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services sales is required, specifically within the PSP (payment processing, acquiring, eCommerce), Gaming/Gambling, or Crypto & CFD sectors, along with an existing network of contacts.
  • A strong grasp of solution selling and the ability to forge solid client relationships.
  • Proven experience and familiarity with Payments, Banking, FX, and Treasury Management.
  • Previous experience in an early‑stage, high‑growth business is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A strategic mindset coupled with a strong execution capability.

We are seeking a self‑starter who is eager to dive in and consistently deliver results. A team player with an open mind is essential. We want someone who is smart, quick on their feet, and possesses a strong work ethic. An exemplary level of integrity is non‑negotiable, as is a solid reputation. The ideal candidate is a solution‑oriented seller who tailors their pitch to meet customer needs, is assertive, and takes charge of the sales process. We need a strategic thinker with exceptional project management skills who can lead time‑sensitive initiatives in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision. This role demands someone with the ambition and potential to grow and excel by embracing opportunity.
